Nicole Sanders, M.A.
Owner of Early Intervention Therapy Services, LLC.
Hi, and thank you first and foremost for visiting my page. You might know me in a few different ways. You may know me as your child’s therapist. You may know me as a friend or colleague. Or you may just be curious about my page and dropping in. Either way I am grateful you are here. I’d like to introduce myself.
I am Nicole and although my current title is owner of EI Therapy Services, I was and still am a developmental therapist. I have spent close to a decade as an infant educator and special instructor, working as an in home therapist. I have been in this field for going on ten years (with a lifetime of personal experience as well). I have a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and a Master's of Arts in Teaching Special Education. I have at this point in my career worked with thousands of families. I have worked primarily with severe disabilities including down syndrome, and cerebral palsy. I have extensive amount of experience with children diagnosed with autism. I also work with children who are showing mild delays as well including expanding their social and emotional development.
This was not a field I ever saw myself going into but I am extremely thankful that I did, as I happen to truly enjoy my job. I like to say I have a lifetime of experience because I grew up with a brother who had special needs. I do know as a sibling what it’s like to experience someone with special needs on a daily basis and the emotions that come along with it. Therefore, I'd like to think I bring education mixed with personal into my role as your therapist.
My main goal and focus for EI Therapy Services is clear and has been for a long time to me. 1) Provide quality therapy to families and children. When I say quality, I mean go the extra mile. Support, love, and guidance through what might be a difficult time in your life. 2) Provide access to quality therapy to everyone, everywhere. So many families do not have access to therapy or have the means to pay for it. Hence, my intrigue with virtual therapy and state funded therapy 3) My third mission is to advocate. Everyone deserves access to therapy no matter what your state laws are, no matter what your healthcare is. This is a work in progress but ultimately my goal is to change laws to make therapy accessible to everyone.
My goal has always and continues to be to make a difference in someone’s life, whether it be your child’s life or your life personally.
I hope that helps you know me a little better professionally, to know my experience and what I stand for.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know my background. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask!
